2 oz/60ml joven mezcal
1/2 oz/15ml absinthe
1/6 oz/5ml (one barspoon) 2:1 simple syrup
3 dashes grapefruit bitters
Build in a rocks glass over ice, stir. I made this as an experiment this evening and it is no joke really good. Absinthe and mezcal are both notoriously hard to use as base ingredients because they're such incredibly strong flavors but it turns out they actually balance out quite nicely.
It needs a name. Honestly it needs a name in Zapotec and I am singularly unqualified to come up with one, so for now it is nameless.
