Facts no one can honestly argue with:

• The Republicans and their fascist base love school shootings. It's good business! Gun and ammunition prices go up, it's an opening to call for more pigs and further transformation of schools into prisons instead of places of learning, and it's an opening (as all tragedies are) to blame minoritized people for the violence that's being inflicted on them; see the racism being thrown at both the victims and the shooter, and the entirely baseless, completely manufactured accusations against a random trans person.
• The Democrats love school shootings! They have had many opportunities to do many things about them and they're happy to fundraise and campaign on it but they've never lifted a finger to stop it; please remember that the Federal Assault Weapons Ban, the "big gun control effort" under Bill Clinton that expired in 2004, did nothing to stop any mass shootings. Columbine happened five years after the AWB was passed, while it was fully in effect. Additionally, they're also quite happy for the opportunity to call for more pigs and further transform schools into prisons!
• Any gun control passed would either not (see the AWB) do anything effective at all, or would do nothing to disarm the aforementioned fascists, the people who actually commit these mass shootings, but would be used to target minoritized people for police violence. The first gun control in the US was supported by the NRA and specifically targeted the BPP!
• These two groups, fascists and politicians, are a bare minority; the people want this to stop and have no power to make it stop.

The only possible conclusion, then: The capitalist class is inflicting this on us and instrumentalizing it as yet another avenue of terror against the working class. Liberals, wittingly or no, are more than happy to play right into this by sucking the asses of pigs and doubling down on "we need more Democrats!" nonsense rhetoric in spite of everything above!

But we knew that.

As long as the fascists are armed, as long as the fascist state is armed, the left must be armed, organized and militant. There is no other avenue to stop this capitalist terror.
